    Important dates
    Tuesday April 1, 2025 - Opening of paper submission

    From Monday February 2 to Monday June 1, 2026 - Paper revision

    Getting started
    It is simple to set up your personal account and submit your abstract!
    First of all, click on the button marked 'Click here for your first connection' and follow the steps:
    1- Enter your email address. It will be used to log into your personal account each time you visit the website. 
    2- Create your password. Your password should be easy for you to remember, something personal and at least 8 characters long. 
    3- Enter your personal information. All boxes with * are mandatory information and you will not be able to save your details unless these are completed.

    A summary of your account information will appear on the screen. To finalise the procedure, please be sure to click on 'Create Account', otherwise your information will not be saved.

    Please remember your login name and password! You will need them later to log into the system after a decision has been made for your paper.
    Information will be sent only to the « contact author », to the e-mail address registered on login.
     
    Submission guidelines for WCTR 2026
    Before submitting your paper thank you for paying attention to the following guidelines:

    => You will have to prepare 2 pieces:
    • an abstract which will be published on the smartphone application,
    • as well as a pdf file of your complete paper following the WCTR 2026 template.

    => Once your paper is submitted, you will no longer be able to modify it. You will have to wait for the revision period to make any necessary updates.

    Guidelines for the abstract
    => In ENGLISH, not exceeding 200 words

    => Tables and pictures are not allowed.

    => In order to avoid problems of incompatibility, we ask you to prepare your text with the Arial font, size 10. The text must be single space.
    Then, you will have to copy and paste the text (without the title and the list of authors) in the indicated field using the appropriate icon .

    => Title and author’s names will have to be typed out in separate fields. The co-authors must be listed with lastname, firstname, workplace and email address. You will have also to specify the mobile phone number of the presenting author (used only during the conference if we need to contact her/him quickly).

    => You will have to select the 2 SIGs that are best related to your paper.

    Guidelines for the pdf paper
    => You will have to upload the pdf file of you complete paper.

    Publication
    For selected papers, the abstract will be available on the smartphone application.

    In the submission process, authors are invited to specify whether they agree to propose their submitted papers for publication, which can be either the proceedings of the 2026 WCTR (named Procedia) or special issues of journals (notably Transport Policy and Case Studies in Transport Policy).

    Authors who have proposed their papers to be considered for publication will be asked to confirm their decision after their papers are accepted for presentation at the 2026 WCTR. Then, they will be invited to revise their contributions according to the referees’ comments they will receive from the Scientific Committee. Final confirmation to submit the revised papers for publication will be requested by end of July 2026.  

    The Contributor guarantees that the content of his/her Contribution is compliant with the law and does not breach any rights of third parties (such as copyrights, images, obligation of confidentiality notably), either because he/she is the owner of the rights on all the components included in his/her Contribution, or because these components are free of any rights, or because he/she has obtained the express authorization of the relevant third parties.
    The Contributor undertakes to ensure with the utmost care the accuracy of the information he/she provides.
    The Contributor alone shall be the liable for the content of his/her Contribution and undertakes to guarantee Europa and WCTR should the liability of Europa and WCTR come to be incurred by a third party because of the content of the Contribution.
    When including pictures in your presentation, please beware when sourcing them from internet. They are generally not free of rights and can expose you to financial penalties (€1,500 per image) from their authors.
     
     Modifications
    You will not be able to modify either the abstract nor the text once you have submitted them.
    Once the results are announced to the authors in February 2026, you will be able to revise your submission until June 1, 2026.
     
     Selection process
    Abstracts will be considered for oral presentation or poster display.
     
    • Oral Presentation: The presenting author agrees to present a lecture within a scientific session on occasion of the congress.
    • Poster: The presenting author agrees to display a printed poster on site and to be near by his/her poster during the break and the poster sessions visit.
    => Please note that the presenter will only be allowed to present one work.
    Results will be sent by email to the author who submitted the paper.
     
     Registration
    The acceptance of a paper does not mean free-of-charge participation.
    Registration, travel and accommodation will remain at the charge of accepted presenters.

     
    The presenter author must be registered before the 1st of April 2026. Otherwise, the paper will not be accepted and will be withdrawn for the final program.
